lately I’ve been seeing lots of miserable people on my dashboard due to heartbreaks and some who are straddling the line between letting go and moving on. listen to your heart? or listen to your head? I’m not trying to spit knowledge or anything like that but I’ve taken the path of both my heart and my head and to be honest, majority of the time, I will chose listening to my head. It’s not because I’m heartless or anything like that but because sometimes, your heart just isn’t ready to be the leader of your feelings. If you can’t handle the consequences, i.e heartbreak, or simply that it isn’t worth it, don’t let your heart decide. Be smart and know when to give your heart over to your feelings. For those that have already chosen to follow their hearts and are hurting in the process, “time heals all,” yes it does but I won’t sugarcoat, it will take countless days, months, and maybe even years to get over someone if you were really in love. What’s done is done and all you can do now is move forward but please learn from this and be smarter next time. Sure, it’s okay to listen to your heart, but don’t follow it if you’re not ready for the consequences.
